Cattle Rustling Still Goes On In The West SACRAMENTO. Calif. UPH An Oregon cattleman riding across his widespread ranqc comes across what's left of the carcass of a young heifer and finds it wasn't dogs' teeth but knives that separated the meat from the bones... A pickup truck stops along a rural California pasture on a moonless night and loaves stealth ily with a couple of young veal calves... A cattle truck pulls up to a loading chute in an Oklahoma pasture, loads several steers and heads lor the stale line... "It isn't like they show it in ended up having stolen 213 head in a year. Hubbard said this type of rus tling is becoming prevalent in bur geoning suburban areas. He said the bureau is now working on a case involving a whole carcass of a freshly killed steer found in thei trunk of a car in a low-income area of downtown Sacramento. June II. 19M TB Patients In State To Be Moved PORTLAND IUPH-AI! patients in the University of Oregon Med ical School Tuberculosis Hospital will be transferred to the Ore gon State Tuberculosis Hospital at Salem by July 1, Dr. D. W. E. Baird, dean of the medical school, said today. The first transfers are scheduled to be made later this week. The medical school was granted authority over the Salem hospital by the 13 legislature in a last day compromise. The school will close its own hospital. Dr. Robert D. Michel, 46 has been appointed chief resident medical officer in charge of pa tient care at Salem, Dr. Baird announced. He has been an assist ant professor of medicine here.
