Hubbard said this type of rus
tling is becoming prevalent in bur
geoning suburban areas. He said
the bureau is now working on a
case involving a whole carcass of
a freshly killed steer found in thei
trunk of a car in a low-income
area of downtown Sacramento. I

TB Patients In State To Be Moved

in the University of Oregon Med
ical School Tuberculosis Hospital
will be transferred to the Ore
gon State Tuberculosis Hospital at
Salem by July 1, Dr. D. W. E.
Baird, dean of the medical school,
said today.
The first transfers are scheduled
to be made later this week.
The medical school was granted
authority over the Salem hospital
by the 13 legislature in a last
day compromise. The school will
close its own hospital.
Dr. Robert D. Michel, 46 has
been appointed chief resident
medical officer in charge of pa
tient care at Salem, Dr. Baird
announced. He has been an assist
ant professor of medicine here.
