Mrs. Burk was born on the Hortnn Ranch and has lived all her life in Klamath County. Her many friends and relatives came from Ashland, Klamath Falls, Poe Valley, Dairy. Bonanza and Lan gell Valley to honor her birth- date. Mrs. Cecil Haley and Mrs. Harold Williams were in charge of arrangements. Spring flowers centered the la bles and small decorated cakes were served with punch and cof fee. Pouring were Wri. A gift ccr-! tificate was given to the Daltons after which a late buffet supper was served. 1 f ; f t tl' Merrill Pair Wed 50 Years GOLDENWIDS Mr. and Mrs. Fred Flegi were recently honored in Merrill on the occasion of their SOth wedding anniversary. They were married in Minnesota end came to the Klamath Basin in 1948. On April 27, approximately 250 friends and relatives from Glide, Klamath Falls, Malin and Merrill in Oregon and Yreka and Tulelake, Calif., gathered at the Merrill Recreation Hall for a buffet sup per given by the sons and daugh ters of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fiegi in honor of their golden wedding an niversary. The room was decorated in col ors of gold and green. A three tiered gold trimmed wedding cake was placed between gold cande labra on the reception table. A small gold house also held cards and monetary gifts for the hon ored couple. Lenore Johnson. Carolyn Fiegi, Ruth Ann Fiegi" and Kathleen Fiegi, granddaughters of the cou ple, took care of the guest Txrok and gift table. Mrs. John Baley presided at the punch bowl and Mrs. Max Hartle- rode poured coffee. Mrs. Ivan Icenbice and Mrs. Dan Geaney served the wedding cake. .Mrs. John Stolt, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Geaney decorated the hall and tables. The entertainment was emcccd by Mrs. George .Mattson. J i m Chance sang "If You Were the Only Girl in tlie World" and "Put on Your Old Gray Bonnet." Ac cordion selections were played by Kathleen Fiegi and Diane Snapp, and a tap dance routine was giv en by Janie and Margaret Retter ath. I Concluding tlie program, the life' history of .Mr. and Mrs. Fiegi w as read with a skit entitled "The Fiegi Family." Betty Ann Chap man took tlie part of Fred Fiegi; Jean Ann Lyman, Mrs. Fiegi; Pam Connor, Bernard; Peggy Car ter, Melvin; Audrene Cunningham, Rovella, and Karen Chapman, Milton. O. Mr, and Mrs. Fiegi were mar ried May 5, 1913, in Pine City, Minn., and resided in that state un til 1948 when they moved to tlie Klamath Basin. On May 20, the lodge again met in regular form. It was voted to stage a pie walk at the next meeting on June 3.
