Raising funds for new books for the city library has long been a project of the library club and the check is generally presented during National Library Week. FACULTV ENTERTAINED BLY A buffet dinner was jiven for the faculty of the Bly .schools at the home of Mrs. Frank Onenchain on Monday, April 15. Following the dinner, slides were shown by Carolyn Obenchain which she took while in Europe last summer. Those present included William Pohll, Mr and Mrs. Walt Cambron, Mr and Mrs. Lloyd Holland, Mrs Lotis Joneschiet, Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Krahn, Mrs. Ruby Mc Cain, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. David Stuart. Clean milk cartons can be used as cookie jars in the freezer. the wedding CELEBRATE The past weekend was one of celebration for Mr, and Mrs. Dick Marks, who observed their 25th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 20, and his birthday the following day. The Marks are shown at right being congratulated by Mr. and Mrs, Ed Brosterhoui during the Reames Auxiliary dance Saturday night. On Mon day evening, 30 couples arranged a no-host dinner at the Satellite Room as a sur prise to Mr. and Mrs. Marks. Ex-Raames pro Clark Good and Mrs. Good came from Medford for the event. The Marks were married in Carthage, Mo., and came to Merrill in 1946 to operate a cafe for 14 years. The past three years they have operated Reames Club facilities. They have three children, Rae Dean and Vicki at home and Dick, who is stationed with the Marine Corps in San Diego. Tule Couple Return Home TULELAKE Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hyckman had an e n j o y ahle two-month trip in warmer climates during the winter visit ins former residents of this com munity. After leaving home Feb. 11 they visited with Mrs. Ryck- man's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Johnson of Mturas, at Twcnty-nino Palms with Mrs 0, J. Proctor now living lth a sin. Bill, whilo Mr. Proctor is a patient in a veterans hospital the day they were there. At Indio they visited with Mrs. Alida Macken and Mrs. Cora Young and had their first heli copter ride. They also saw Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kadous of lulclakc and Hoy Fox of Merrill, saw Mr. and Mrs. Wnync Mayficld, Ther mal, Calif. Maylield was at one luke were visiting a son, Ted Fish, and family at Thermal. A Tulclake colony spends the winter in Phoenix and Mesa in cluding Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Meslike. Tcfiy and at Red Bluff with a daughter and son-in-law and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Nelson. They rested for a week at the Kyckman cabin at Shasta Lake before returning home.
