Dance Photos by Bob Anderson Library Club Enjoys Program Of Dancing On March 26 at Winston House on the Oregon Mate University campus, the engagement of Eileen Marie Robinson and Raymond Harold Andrieu was announced. The wedding is to be Aug. 7 n St. Agatha's Church in Port land, in which city the bride cleet's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed win R. Robinson, reside. The future bride is a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Port land and is presently enrolled as a freshman home economics ma jor at the university. Her fiance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Andrieu, Midland, is a sen ior student of agricultural eco nomics at OSU. The couple's engagement was blessed at St. Agatha's Catholic Church by Father Urban Keber on April 13. Witnesses were Eu gene Erhai't, Portland, and Ruth Andrieu, Midland. delightful program was pre sented by students of the Rubye Kuiac Dance Studio of Malin lor members and guests of the Klam ath Falls Woman's Library Club at its meeting Monday, April 8. In the absence of Mrs. Eric Hamilton and Mrs. Ailsa Kuy Kendall, president and vice presi dent respectively, Mrs. Dick Hen zel conducted the meeting. The flag salute was led by Mrs. A. 0. Roenicke. Mrs. Lcroy F. Carter, program chairman for the day, introduced Mrs. Halbert Wilson of Malin, who gave a short commentary on the dances to be presented. The program consisted of a va riety of numbers, both solo and group presentations. Following an intermission, the students por trayed the ancient Chinese play, 'Mei Ling and the Emperor Wu." They are June Clark, president; Barbara Lasater, vice president; Elaine Georgetta. secretary; Shirley Capps, treasurer; Bess Hall tournament chairman; Isabel Sun det. handicap chairman; Ellen Downs, social chairman; Marv Howard, publicity. Ladies day for the coming sea son will be on Tuesday with the regular luncheon meeting to be held on the first Tuesday of every month. Pairings for each week's golf play will be posted one week in advance on the bulletin board at the pro shop. The beginning of regular golf play for the women will be an nounced at a later date and mem bers will be notified. News of babies born to three out-of-town couples is of interest to their many Klamath Falls friends. On April 16, Judge and Mrs David R. Vandenberg received a lr'er Harndon. call from Portland telling of the arrival of David Michael, first child for Mr. and Mrs. John Van denberg. The youngster weighed seven pounds, eight ounces on arrival. Maternal grandparents to the new Vandenberg heir are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Freeman, also of this city. . . The play, written in 863 A.D., is the equivalent of the original ver sion of the well-known Cinderella. During intermission, tea was served from a table centered with a spring arrangement of or chid stock and yellow daisies, flanked by orchid tapers. Mrs. Elmer Harnden and Mrs. Leroy Carter presided at the coffee serv ices. Decorations and arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Merton Ferebce. assisted by Mrs. H. A Nitschelm, Mrs. A. V. McVey and Mrs. Joe Hicks. Hostesses were Mrs. Frank Kahl and Mrs. Henry Perkins. At the business session, an nouncements were made concern-; ing the Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs state convention scheduled for May 8 and 9 in Eugene. Women planning to at tend are asked to contact Mrs. Erie Hamilton. It was also announced that the library club will be among those organizations sponsoring the pro posea symphony orchestra m Klamath Falls. Bonanza Clubs Stage Banquet BONANZA The Bonanza Let termen's Club and the Pep Club hosted a banquet April 6 in the' school cafeteria. Chairman Mrs. Louis Randall was assisted by mothers of the club members. Places w ere marked for 82 w ith place cards of footballs, basket balls and track shoes. Small ta ble trees were trimmed with car-! toons of the athletes, who were especially honored. Nondice McFall gave the open ing address and Paul Dearborn, the invocation. Fred Dearborn, master of cere monies, introduce Wayne Scott guest speaker. The program included a poem by Linda McFall; a pantomime by Linda and Jean Fernlund, and an accordion solo by Joan Fernlund. John Lundbcrg presented a tro phy to Rodney Pfeiffer for mak ing the most tackles during the football season, and Bob Freir ich gave a similar trophy to Ed die Simmons for the record points made in basketball games. James Brotherton gave the clos ing address. Prosperity Lodge Meets MALIN Prosperity Chapter No. 160, Order of the Eastern Star. observed friendship night April 11, with Worthy Matron and Patron Helen and Ivan Ottoman presid ing. The guests were entertained by a group of dance students of the Rubye Kujac Dance Studio. Several harmony numbers by Con nie Unis and Marilyn Duncan were also presented. Escorted and introduced were Frances Kalina, Grand Adah; Vir ginia Zumbrun, member of tie dcntials, Grand Chapter of Ore gon; Josephine Zadina and Lester Hoback, worthy matron and pa tron.
