The Sunday School classes of Mrs. Lloyd Gift and Mrs. Russell Walsh enjoyed a dancing party March 23 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Noble. Thirty live teen-agers attended. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Partridge of Bonanza were hosts at a dinner March 25 at the Bonanza Cafe in honor of the 18th birthday of their daughter, Fleur. Guests were the 21 members of the senior class. chool principal, Charles Steber, and Mrs. Steber, class adviser. John Lundberg, and -Mrs. Lund berg, the honored guest's grand mother. Her es say on "My responsibility as a citizen in the family, in the community and in the world" was judged first among entries from senior students in all Klamath County schools. She receives a check from Mrs. Margaret Strode, chairman of public affairs for Soroptimist Club. Winning essays are judged at the regional and national levels with a $2500 scholarship as top award. DEAR POIXY-When shorten ing trousers, try them on the person and turn the trouser lcj. up, on the right side, to the re quired length. Pin on the fold Press the new bottom fold line with the steam iron. Turn trouser leg down again and from the pressed fold measure the desired width of the cuff. Fold the re maining length to the wrong side. Press again on this line. I usually allow about two and a half inches for the underneath hem and cut off the excess length. After mak ing the hem, turn cuff up again on the first fold and you have the proper length without pins fall ing out and all guesswork is elim inated. Sounds complicated but is really easy.
