Paulann Whitman and It. Peter Iunsrcen recited their marriage vows in a double ring ceremony Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Rob ert Greene officiated. On the altar for the ceremony were bouquets o wane carna tions and before each altar were beauty baskets of white gladioli in front of candelabra. Pew markers were clusters of Amcri- an beauty poinsetlias. These and flowers carried by the bridal at tendants and their . headpieces were made by the bride's moth er. Organist was Mrs. William Hag- erman and soloist, Hae Ann Davis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Whitman. She was given in marriage by her father. For her wedding gown she chose a full length fitted gown of ivory peau de soie with long sleeves and narrow cascade of lace on the bodice and front of the skirt. The bride's wedding rinj' was lovely heirloom piece fashioned of the rings worn by the bride groom's grcat-grandnarcnts and given to him by his great-grand-mother. Earrings worn by the bride were also given to her bridegroom by his great-grand mother, who received them as a gift from her husband when they visited Niagara Falls in infill. The bridegroom's matching cult links belunged to liis great-grandparents. A six pence in the bride's slip- lier was a gift of Howard Allen of Klamath Falls. The bridal bouquet was a white orchid centered in a cascade of stephanotis. The gowns and flowers of the bridal attendants weiu alike, fashioned of American Beauty velvet with square necklines and short sleeves. Their bouquets were cascades of American Beauty poinsetlias with gold leaves and gold and ivory streamers. Their headpieces were made with matching poinsetlias and silk net. Maid of honor was the bride room's sister, Margo l.ungreen of Riverdalc, N. Y. Bridesmaids were Katherine t.ahbert, Rivor- ide. They, too, wore American Beauly velvet dresses, lull length, sleeveless with scoop necklines. Their bouquets were miniatures of those carried by the senior attendants. Mrs. Whitman wore for her daughter's wedding a brocade sheath, green on blue background and a corsage of cymbiclium or chids. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Rolfe P. l.ungreen. Mrs. Lungreen was dressed in a beige sheath with matching jacket. Her corsage was of cym bidium orchids. Best man was Gary Pierce. Ushers were Clyde Hammond. John O'Neill, David Hcnzcl and Richard Bogatay, all of Klamath Falls. The reception was held at Reames Golf and Country Club where decorations followed the holiday theme. The receiving line was formed against a background of evergreens and lighted tapers. The bride's table, flanked by baskets of gladioli, was decorated with while candles, evergreen sprays and white doves. Serving the cake were Mrs. John O'Neill. Mrs. Charles Somcrs, Mis. David Henzel, Mrs. John Dasknlas. Mrs. Frank Bogatay and Mis. Donald Sutcliffc. The punch and coffee tables adorned with gilded evergreens and white and red candles were presided hy Mrs. James Hyland, Mrs. Cecil Drew, Mrs. Clyde Hammond, Mrs. Jack unman Mrs. Gary Pierce. Mis. Delbert Blake, Mrs. Walter Kennctt, Mrs. Maynard Murdock, Mrs. John Ashley, Mrs. N. B. Drew, Mrs. Earl Parker, Mrs. Jay 1-cmire, Mrs. Jerry Thomas and Mrs. Cliff Robinson. Assisting were Mrs. C, C. Pin- neo and Mrs. Howard Allen. Children's punch was served by Kay Lively and Mrs. Gene Blan- chard, (lifts were received by Mrs. Olive Cahill. The guest book, placed beside memory candle and fiosted ev ergreens, was attended by Katie Lemire and Beverly Blnnchard. A special guest at the cere mony and reception was the bride's grandmother. Mrs. Ann Theobald of Cortland. The new Mrs. Lungicen's go ing away outlit was a white wool knit sheath, while mohair coat and teal-blue feather hat. She at tended Pomona College prior to her marriage. Her husband is a graduate of Southern Oregon Col lege and seives as vice president of It F Supply Company. Anniversary Is Observed MERRILL Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hood were honored at a surprise anniversary party Jan. 18 at their home by employes of the Oregon - Washington Telephone Company. Mr. and Mrs. Hood had cel ebrated their 14th wedding anni versary on Dec. n. Mitzel have chosen June 30 as the date of their wedding. Their betrothal was announced in Portland by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jean Smith. She is a graduate of Lewis and Clark Colleqe and a member of Alpha Gamma sorority. The future bridegroom is the son of former Klamath Falls residents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Mitzel, now residing in Chiloquin. Local AFS Names Slate At the last meeting of the Klamath Falls Chapter of the American Field Service, officers were elected for the coming year. Chester H. Hamaker was chosen to head the group as president with Clifford McGinty, vice presi dent. Committees include: home placement, Mrs. Fred Ehlers. chairman, Mrs. C. H. Hamaker and Paul Angstcad; finance. lames Mosley, chairman, Paul Deller and Tom Crabtree; school advisers, Willard McKinny, G. L. 'errier and Mrs. V. K. Over man; Americans Abroad coordin ators. Mrs. Robert Payne and Van Mollison; project committee. Mrs. Joe Russell and Mrs. George Nitschelm; publicity, Mrs. A. J. King and Mis. Haarby Bechen. At present, the chapter is inter ested in prospective homes for foreign students who might be sent to Klamath Falls next year.
