The bride-to-be's father was the late John M. Novak. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and Providence School of Nursing in Portland. Her fiance is a graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, Kleb. He served his internship at Providence Hospital in Portland and general practice residency at Salinas County Hospital, Salinas, Calif. He is presently a Navy lieutenant stationed at a Marine Cold Weather Traininq Base in Bridgeport, Calif. The young couple will be married Nov. 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Whitney ot Athe na, Ore., will be luncheon speak er. Mrs. Whitney, a Phi Beta Kap pa graduate of the University o( Idaho, received her MA degree there and served as president1 of the Associated W6men Students of the university. She and her husband and four children are active in both- church and com munity affairs. Mrs. Whitney has served as chairman of many local and state AAUW committees, and held the offices of treasurer and vice president of the Oregon division, AAUW.
