Their eight great-grandchildren are Kim Edson, Pain Edson, Ronnie Car gil, Dennie Young. Shelley Young, Kevin Young, Mark Valenzuela and Carol Lee Valenzuela. at the home of May Phinney on North Eleventh Street Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 12:30 p.m. A business meeting was con ducted by President Alma Cofer and reports given of the Christ- project. Election of offi cers was held with the following results: Margaret Biden, presi dent; Velma Krause, vice presi dent; Helen McCornack, secre tary, and May Phinney, treasurer. The next meeting and luncheon will be held at the home of Helen Blanas on Feb. 7, and all past noble grands are invited to attend. MR. AND MRS. ALBERT O. JORDAN observed their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 10 at their home in Dunsmuir. They have lived their entire married life in Siski you County, their first home being in Etna. " Two Observe Golden Date DUNSMUIR Mr. and Mrs. Al bert 0. Jordan observed their first Christmas together in 1910! in a ranch home near Etna. Mrs. Jordan, the former Mary Brazil, was just 16 and Jordan was 21. They had been married two H'eeks. . Mr. and Mrs. Jordan celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on the evening' of Dec. 10 in the company of their daughter, grand children and great-grandchildren. Their Christmas tree this year was on the front porch of their home at 1117 Butterfly Avenue. "We like to share," Mrs. Jor dan explained. They have shared much in the last 50 years but like to dwell on the happy things Jordan used to play the violin for Scott Valley social gatherings and he met his future wife at a dance. They were married by Judge Martin Marks, Etna justice of the peace. He has been a rancher, spent several years working in the woods and has worked for the for st,iiervicB. In 1921, he was super .. intendent and toll collector for the - Soda Creek Toll Road from Cas tie Crags to McCloud. He's been a county road foreman and for a time was in charge of all road equipment in District 3. In 1918 and 1919 when the first power line was being built in the Sacramento Canyon, Jordan drove the pack-laden mules that . kept the job from Castella to La Moine supplied. Later when Southern Pacific was relocating line for Shasta Dam, he was sta tionary engineer at Silverthom in 1940. "We've been a moving family," Mrs. Jordan said but agreed that wherever her husband wanted to live and whatever he wanted to do has met with her approval. "But I'm glad he's never want ed to leave Siskiyou County," she concluded. The Jordans have made their home in Dunsmuir since 1935. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Russell of Olene, Kenneth Russell of Sac ramento, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Turner and Roxie, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Schmoe, Virgie, Karen and Don of Bonanza and Dorothy and Fred Acklin. Wr. and Mrs. LeRoy Fcrnlund of Bonanza entertained at a din ner party on Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. George Travis and June of Boulder, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Bud Rueck and Tamie, Mr. and Mrs, Fred Fernlund, Mr. and Mrs Fred Rueck, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Peterson and family, and Joan and Jean Fernlund. In Langell Valley Mr. and Mrs. Lester Leavitt were hosts at a buffet supper on New Year's Eve, Present were Mr. 'and Mrs. Wes Dearborn, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Vowell and Susan. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dearborn and Ray Vowell. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burnett of Langell Valley were dinner hosts on New Year's Day for Mr. and Mrs. Mike Eittreim and son, Joyce Fett, Ernest McBeth, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Pinelll and Su san, Warner Fett and Mr. and Mrs. Al McMasters. all of Klam ath Falls, and Maria and Monte Burnett. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Metier of Langell Valley entertained with a dinner at their home on New Year's Eve. Pinochle was played later in the evening. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Cal Raney, Mr. and Mrs. Rav Arnold and Mr. and 104 met for a potluck luncheon Mrs. Austin Halvorsen, all of STEPHANIE ANN is the 7-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim McVey of Malin. Her paternal grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Carl McVay, also re side in Malin. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Mathers of Klam ath Falls are maternal grandparents. Langell Valley also observed the New Year. Mark, Paul and Teddy Dearborn gave a skating party and taffy pull at their home. Those enjoying the evening of fun were Dee and Terry Milne of Klamath Falls, Judy and Gary Randall, Virginia Noble, Fred and Henry Dearborn and Monte Burnett. Bridge Winners Tuesday morning duplicate bridge tournament play on Jan. 3 was seven tables of Howell Movement. First place winners were Mrs. Robert Thompson and Mrs. H. O. Jutkcland. Mrs. E. C. Lemlcr and Mrs. William Cun ningham ttcre second, Mrs. Grace Kresie and Mrs. R. H. Reeves, third, and Mis. Lena Smith and Mis. Lloyd Goble, fourth. On Jan. 10 ten tables of Milch ell Movement were in play. North-south first place was cap tured by Mrs. William Grove and Mrs. N. J. Rosenbaum. Mrs. Lena Smith and Mrs. Lloyd Go ble were second and Mi's. Bob Ross and Mrs. R. H. Reeves, third. First place in east-west posi-! ftion was held bv Dr. and Mrs. Seth Kerroii, followed by Mrs. Vera Moore and Mrs. Duane Cas sidy in second, and Mrs. F. W. Hyde and Mrs. Robert Chilcote, third.
