Garland Cundiff reported con cerning a meeting in Alturas last week in which renewed efforts to promote the Susanville-Adin cut off road were discussed. The road is proposed as a link to the Alcan Highway. He said the expected $800,000 expenditure might detract rather than add to traffic on Highway 395. He said a petition will soon (ample taxpayer opinion concern ing the road. Members voted to conduct a March of Dimes dance Feb. 25. Master Claude Noble slate he is in favor of grange backing for a proposal under discussion in Lake Counjy for establishment of an obnoxious weed control district.
