Photo by Harold Ashley Drug Firm Keeps Mum DETROIT (UPD A spokesman for the Parke Davis & Co. drug company said today the firm would have no immediate com- . ment on a suit filed in California in connection with the death of a university coed who had been giv- en a drug manufactured by Parke Davis. The spokesman said Hie drug " company had not yet received a bill of complaint in the suit and would not comment until it did. The suit, seeking $250,000 dam ages, was filed Tuesday in Su perior Court at Los Angeles and named Parke Davis, the L'niver tity of Southern California and ' three doctors as defendants. ; . ;t was filed by Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Elfstrom who charged the death of their daughter, Crfynda Lynn, 19, a University of South ern California student, resulted from malpractice and the admin istration of Chloromycetin, a po tent antibiotic made by Parke Diivis. Elfstrom, who is editor and pub li'lier of the Fullerlon News Trib une, said any funds received thiough the suit would he con- tributed to Hie Children's Hospi i tal in Orange County, Calif.
