Pat ton of Harrington, Wash., testi fied Thursday. Patton, general manager of the United Grain Growers Inc., was a witness at a Department of Ag riculture Hearing on Ihe govern. ment's proposal to cut rates for storing surplus and price-support grain. The proposed reduction would he about 19 per cent. Operators of grain elevators opposed it at the two-day hearing which began Wednesday. Another witness Thursday was Harold E. Stanford of Portland Ore., a director of the' Continen tal Grain Co.
