(AP)-Civic fjeaders have set a goal of $10,000 ias a reward for a solution to last Thursday night's bombing of Kehi lath Israel Synagogue. Mayor H. Roe Bartle said Mon day night he has pledges of $7,000 from civic, labor, veteran and religious organizations for the re ward fund to be administered by the Kansas City Crime Commis sion. The bomb did $10,000 damage to the synagogue. Five youths arrested Sunday were released after questioning. Charleston, W.Va., today. They have been exposed to a great deal during the five days since they arrived in the United States for a 24-day visit. It is, perhaps, not too early to look for their first reactions to this country. Their faces and their comments show that they find America stim ulating. In relaxed moments, the less inhibited of them come right out and say what they like as well as what they don't like. What they like is the abundance of high quality consumer goods and services available every where here. What they disap proved of is the high price tags attached to these goods and serv ices like housing, higher educa tion and medicine in the United States. Of course the Russians don't say so to their American hosts ex cept in jest. It would be diplo matically improper and politically unwise for a group of Soviet gov ernment officials to go around advocating Communism in Amer ica. Dmitri Polyansky, head of the Soviet group, is very careful to keep ideological disputes out of his formal speeches and banquet toasts. "You have your capitalist sys tem and we have our socialist one, and let's not interfere with each other," is one of Polyansky's favorite themes. Soviet Press Hails Autos Parole Violations Admitted By California Housewife MOSCOW (UPI)-The introduc tion of Russian automobiles on the American market by a Syracuse, N.Y., dealer was hailed today by the Russian press and public as acknowledgement of So viet technical achievements. Most of Moscow's 16 newspapers gave prominent play to the Tass report that Russia has sold 10.000 Moskvich sedans to a firm called Andrea Motors, Inc., headed by Robert Castle. The press saw it as evidence of improving trade relations between Russia and the United States. The Moskvich is a four-door, four-seater sedan with a standard shift, a 45-horse power engine and a top speed of 72 miles an hour. It has one fold-down seat for driv ers who want to sleep in the car. The Moskvich is Russia's "econ omy car. It sells here for Zo.uou rubles I $2,500 at the official tour ist rate of exchange), but pur chasers may have to wait for as long as two years before getting their cars. An auto export official of the Ministry of Trade said that Castle signed a deal not only for the Moskvich but for Volgas and oth er iiovict automoones unaer a "monopoly" agreement for a two year contract.
