Approximately 35 youngsters were asked to the Richardson home, 5050 Shasta Way, where Santa passed out gifts, many of them, games which were played during the party hours. Mrs. Richardson was assisted in serving refreshments by 12 mothers present. Santa Claus holds the interest of this group. Standing are Trudie Cheyne and Bobbie Ward. McClain of Kingsley Field in late Jan uary. The announcement of the engagement was made by the bride-elect's grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Kotthoff of Merrill. The fu ture bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Thelma McClain of McClure, Virginia. McCLOUD Beverly Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson of McCloud, became the bride of James McOmber of Sac ramento, December 20. His parents arc Mr. and Mrs. Charles McOmber of Sacramento. The double ring ceremony was conducted in St. Joseph's Catholic Church of McCloud, with the Rev. Vincent Lyons officiating. The bride, given In marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white lace over net and taffeta, fashioned with a Sabrina neckline and long tapered sleeves. Her bouquet was slcphanotis, centered with red rosebuds. Mrs. Jackie Cottini, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a princess style dress of red taffeta with a full skirt. She wore a white fur headpiece and muff trimmed with poinscttias. Janet Frizelle of Sunnyvale was bridesmaid. Sherry Cottini, wearing a white organdy dress with a red sash and a headpiece of red carna tions, was junior bridesmaid: she carried a nosegay of red carnations. William Dunk was best man and David Arthur was usher; both were from Sacramento. The' bride's mother chose green silk dress with green acces sories and a yellow rosebud cor sage. The mother of the bride groom wore a blue silk gown. Following the rites, a recention was held in the McCloud dance hall. Mrs. Mae Holmquist served the cake and Sandie Holmquist was in charge of the guest book. Out of town guests were Mr and Mrs. Ernest Graves of Klam ath Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bast of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Glen McOmhor, Mr. and Mrs. Da- via Arthur, William Dunk, and Mr ana Mrs. steward Wood, all of saeramenlo. The newlyweds will make their home in Carmichael, after a brief honeymoon on the coast. Photo by Guderian A Red Cross first aid class will be open for the public January 21 at 7 p.m. at Room 116, Klamath Union High School. Ella Redkey will serve as instructor, and the course will include standard, ad vanced, and instructor training. Miss Redkey is qualified as an instructor trainer by the National Red Cross headquarters, and plans to take the student group through the entire first aid training pro. gram, including 10 hours of stan dard first aid, 18 hours of ad vanced, and 10 hours of instructor training. There is no charge for the In struction. Each student should , have the first aid textbook which can be purchased at chapter head quarters in the county library building, 126 South Third Street.
