Beauty baskets of white stock and orchid carnations were placed be side potted palms at the altar of the First Christian Church for the ceremony read by the Rev. George Adler. Reverend Adlcr, at one time pastor of the Klamath Falls church, is now a professor at San Jose Bible College where both young people were recently grad uated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mattoon, 2228 Green Springs Drive. Mr. and Mrs. George Westcfeldt of ML Clemens, Michigan, parents of the groom attended graduate school in Ohio for two years following his graduation from San Jose Bible College. Out-of-town guests included Mr and Mrs. Roy Biggs of Tulelake; aunts of the bride, Mrs. T. J Morrisscy of Orland, Mrs. Cedric Myer of Dunsmuir and Mrs. F.lmo Schoellermann of Redding; Lela Baker, Dora DcVoss, Klaine Ken dall and Mary Sanders, all of San Jose; Mrs. Fred Wikoff and daugh ter, Deleine, and Barbara Jacob son of Kugene. Pre-nuptial events included s shower given by the women of the First Christian Church and an other similar party hosted by Mrs. bridegroom, were unable to attend !Cecil -Malt- Mrs- Ilans frei was Zuleima Nile Zuleima Nile Club held Its reg ular luncheon meeting on Decem ber 2 at the Willard Hotel. Chair man of the meeting was Alisa Kuykendall. Tables were decorat ed in the , Christmas theme. Boughs of pine and evergreens sprayed in gold and silver and decorated with ornaments served as centerpieces. Santa's reindeer, made of gilded cardboard, and Christmas lights completed the decorations. Special guests introduced were Mrs. R. Garrison and daughter Kay, for the Temple in Seattle, now living In Klamath Falls; Mrs D, R. Porterficld of Newell and Mrs. A. Schonebaum, mother of Helen Niles. Special prizes were won by Princesses Helen Niles; Maude Wright, Ruth Holcomb and Shir ley Ferrel. Birthday awards were presented to Virginia Zumbrun and Mae Moss. A .beautiful table was piled high with Christmas gifts which will be sent to the Shrine Hospital. Also on display by the sewing com mittee were children's dresses and pajamas which have been completed. Billic Balsigcr, program chair man, introduced Dale Hallack of the music department of Klamath Union High School, who presented tho "Swing 18" who sang several songs. The KUHS string orchestra played several groups of Christ mas numbers concluding with "Away in The Manger." the wedding Dale Mattoon gave his daughter in marriage. Her floor length brid al gown was fashioned of white nylon lace over net. The fitted bodice featured a portrait neck ne with scalloped edging, long sleeves pointed at the wrist, and a long pointed waistline. A band of seed pearls held her fingertip illusion veil and she carried two cattalya orchids arranged with stephanotis. Klaine Kendall of San Jose, maid of honor, was gowned in dark or chid. Light orchid frocks were worn by the bridesmaids, Mrs Fred Wikoff of Eugene and Mary Sanders of San Jose. The attend ants dresses, all made alike, tea tured flared ballerina length skirts, round neckline coming to a v in back and short sleeves. All wore white slippers and orchid flower headbands. They carried colonial bouquets of orchids and orchid and yellow chrysanthemums. Flower girl, Deleine Wikoff of Eugene, carried a basket of vio lets as she preceded the wedding party down the aisle. Wayne Thomas of Sacramento was best man and ushers were Ralph Westcfeldt of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, brother of the bride groom, and Roy Biggs of Tule lake. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Stanley Kendall. She also accompanied the soloists, Roy Lundgren, Roberta Dougherty and Stanley Kendall. For her daughter's wedding Mrs, Mattoon chose a sheath dress with jacket of teal blue brocade. Her corsage was double hybrid vanda orchids A reception followed the cere mony in the church parlors. The bride s table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with four tiered wedding cake decorat ed with yellow roses. Assistants were Mrs. Roy Biggs, Marlyn Kendall, Carol Friedrichs, Dora DcVoss, Lela Baker and Barbara Jacobson. The couple spent their honey moon on the Monterey Peninsula. Mrs. Westcfeldt wore for traveling an aqua sheath dress with match ing check jacket, white feather hat and patent accessories. At her shoulder was the orchid from her bouquet. The newlyweds will re side in San Jose until his minis-! a luncheon hostess honoring the bridc-elcct. Several affairs were also held in her honor in San Jose. Women's Club Meets In Bonanza BONANZA The Bonanza Wom en's Club met at the library for an all day meeting December 1. Members brought a sack lunch anl coffee was furnished by the club. Christmas wreaths and swags were made to sell at the bazaar held December 5. uuring the business meeting held in the afternoon, presided over by the president Vela Wil liams, it was voted to not charge rent on the building when it was used for the Hospital Survey Fund tea given by Mrs. Lloyd Gift Mrs. Cecil Haley, Mrs. Louis Ran dall and Mrs. Martin Gift. Doris Schmidli was appointed to asK me Boy Scouts if they want ed the wicker couch and chair for their cabin. Committee reports for the ba zaar were made by Doris Schmid li, Janet Fernlund. Donna Divnn uara Bold, Florence Horn, Lil lian Bechdoldt, Madeline Ketchum, Alta Dixon, Bettye Steber, Bessie Frazier, Noma Bechdoldt, Vclda Haley, Cora Leavitt, Margaret Burnett and Betty Pepple. Hos pitality committee members were Jeanette Stewart, Ida Rowcliffe, Birdie Burk and Mildred Kelle son. Dorothy Peterson was gen eral chairman of bazaar. Margaret Burnett, Clara Bold. Patty Schmidt and Cora Leavitt were appointed to plan a valentine party for club members in Feb ruary. Delorcs Dalmer was honored this past week at two bridal showers. On December 2 Mrs. Erie Hamil ton entertained members of the TNT Bridge Club in honor of the bride-elect. Silver and white decor was used by Mrs. Hamilton in dec orating her home at 226 North Third Street. An attractive center piece of bride and bridegroom and candles centered the refreshment table. A shower of kitchen gifts were arranged under the Christ mas tree for the honored guest. Martha McColIum was also a hostess at a miscellaneous shower honoring Delores at her home. 1965 Huron Street. The hostess' sister, Mrs. Virgil Mudd of St. Helena, California. who is visiting here, made and dressed bride dolls as favors and also decorated the cake which was served later In the evening. Delores Dalmer will become the bride of William Gene Vallier on December 27 in a four o'clock ceremony at the First Baptist Church. The bride-to-be has been making her home since July with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Al Backes of 428 Pacific Terrace, and is employed as office manager for Don Potter Machinery Compa ny. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Dalmer of Leduc, Alberta. Canada, her sister, Shirley, and brother, Edward, and an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Stack, all of Edmonton, are expected to arrive in Klamath Falls on Decem ber 20 to attend the wedding. The future bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Vallier, 1760 Homedale Road, and is cm ployed by the Southern Pacific Company. Two Weddings Are Announced MERRILL Mr. and Mrs. Ho. mer Fields of Merrill have an nounced two marriages in their immediate family during t h t month of November. Their son, A.2.C. Richard (Dirk) Fields, was married Saturday, No vernier 7, at Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Lorraine, expect to be sent later this month to England. Melds has been sta tioned at Carswell Air Force Base at Dallas, Texas, the past 14 months. Sue Fields, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fields, selected Saturday November 28, as her wedding date to Wayne Keith Russell of Port land. The wedding vows were ex changed in Portland. The bride is employed at S. E. Portland First National Bank in Portland. The bridegroom is associated with the Dwyer Lumber Products Manufac turing Company. The newlyweds are now at homa at 2726 S. E. 87th Avenue, Port-land. wi Fashions Shown To Student Wives A showing of late fashions from the Bon Bazaar was presented to the OTI Student Wives who met in the campus YMCA building on Wednesday, December 2, at 7;30 p,.m. President Donna Jon neay mtroaucea itutn warren wl described the styles as they were modeled by Bonnie Gribble, Kathi Stroedel, Janice Blower, Phyllis Donaldson, Carrol Jelley and Gla dys Brown, all student wives. Each outfit was delightfully complete with appropriate jewelry, match- purse and shoes, the latter from the House of Shoes. During the short business meet g, the bake sale was reported a success. Members were urged to continue submitting suggestions for a name for the student wives club. The next meeting of the club will be on December 16. Refreshments were served im mediately following the meeting.
