Three of the cases are open, but Bcddoe said he would ask for se cret indictments in two of them. One open case involves two men charged with assault with a dan gerous weapon in the alleged beat ing of a companion alter having asked the man lor money. The defendants, Charles Hood Jr.. 20. and Louis Gibbons, 27. both of Chiloquin. were accused of beating Cyril Bierle with a stove poker and a wine bottle alter a drinking party early November 11. Two eases involve charges of taking and using a motor vehicle without consent of the owner. One involves Richard W. Wayburn, 20, accused of leading police on a wild chase November 12 in a Cadillac convertible which had been re ported missing from the Dick B. Miller Company warehouse. The other charge is against Benjamin Perkins, a ranch hand employed by Lloyd Gift ot Bonanza, who is ac cused of taking a pickup truck to Bonanza without consent and in violation of orders. The grand jury returned 19 true bills and four not true bills in its lirst report November 3.
