Thursday, Agis B, PAHJ? 7 A PAUL BREITHAUPT UF-RC Names County Head Paul Breilhaupt is to head the Klamalh County division of the I960 United Fund-Red Cross Drive. Paul Cruikshank, drive chairman, in announcing this chairmanship, said "we're real pleased to have this other Paul working for us. He has such a broad acquain tanceship in the county as well as a lot of organizational expe- . rience." Paul Breilhaupt came to Klam ath County in 1929 when he was a freshman in high school. He at tended Merrill High School for two years and was graduated from Bo ' nanza High School. He farmed with his father un- ' til the time of his father's death in 1041,. at which time he and his brothers formed a farming partnership. Later Breilhaupt bought out . the two partners and continued farming alone until 1957. Then he sold his ranch and be , came active in a transportation ' business. In February this year, he became affiliated with Basin Farm Chemicals, where he is manager. In 1942 Breilhaupt was married , to the former Marilyn Rightmier and they are the parents of four ; children, two boys and two girls, - ranging in age from 5 to IB. The Breithaupt children are active in 4-H work and attend Henley schools. The family is moving tb - a new home in the Henley Dis trict. . ; ' ' '" Breithaupt is a longtime lead er in Klamath County agricultur al groups, having taken part in the work of the farm bureau and the grange. He served in a, similar county capacity with a Commu nity Chest drive before United . Fund was established, the coun ' ty chairman has one of the most extensive volunteer jobs in ' the campaign. It includes a general solicitation of all Klamath County citizens living outside the immed iate Klamath Falls area. The county drive effort includes a special gifts appeal,, a general : geographic solicitation that divides the county into 12 areas, and a .special approach to county busi nesses by a payroll withholding r group. The task of the latter is ;to establish a withholding plan for employes in every large firm in "the county.'
