Six Rescued From Blaze OREGON CITY (API - A pas ing motorist and a barber work ing nearby raced to a flaming two story frame house here Wednes day and rescued six children alone inside, firemen here report ed. Firemen said the blaze in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William W. West at 422 Mountain View apparently was started by one of the children playing with match es. The Wests were away at the time. The motorist, who was not iden tified, and Raymond Runnells, the .barber, saw the fire and brought out the children, ranging in age from a small baby to a 13-year-old girl. . The fire, which started in a shed at the rear of the home, also .destroyed two small buildings nearby. Mrs. John H. iFern) Han na, which was held today. Mrs. Hanna. 54, died Wednesday, August 5, in Los Angeles. The California Hanna family was frequent visi tors in Klamath Falls. Mack Chosen As Secretary SALEM (AP)-The state Tax Commission today reelected Dean Ellis as its chairman, and chose Charles H. Mack as secretary The commission has three mem bers. Chambers retired Aug. 1, and was replaced by Fred H. V llnefke, Portland, special agent of the Internal Revenue Service for 11 years. All three members were ap pointed by Gov.
