Mr. and Mrs. JouberL make their home in San Mateo. Lloyd Burton of Redding ar rived last Monday in Etna to spend several weeks visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Roff and Mr. and Mrs. Will Bur ton. The circus will appear at 2:15 and 8:15 Tuesday and Wednesday, August 1 1-12. at the Klam. ath County rairgrounds. Shrine Circus Slated Here The circus is coming to town and according to advance reports no circus has finer offering of the wonders inherent to a circus- than die 1959 Shrine-Polack Circus. Popular with both children and adults it will be presented Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11-12, at the Klamath County Fairgrounds, with afternoon and evening perfor mances both days at 2:15 and 8:15. 1 Reserved seats will go on sale Tuesday, August 4, at the Shrine Club office in the Klamath Audi torium, formerly the Klamath arm ory, at Main and Spring streets. Purpose of the week's activities is to help strength en the youth program of the church. Members of the caravan include the counselor, Eileen Baumeister, York, Pennsylvania, and four col lege students, Paul S. Lofton Jr., of Ninety Six, South Carolina; Nan cy Parker, La Mesa, California: Nancy Scrimshire and Shirley Ma vis, both of Albuquerque. The Gil christ. visit will be the last of the team's scries of one-week stops in Oregon Methodist churches. Others previously visited include Lake- view, Ashland, Dillard, Madras and Fossil. During the coming week, daily meetings will he held at the Gil christ Methodist Church for dis cussions, service projects, skill workshops, recreation and fellow ship. Activities have been planned for the Junior Methodist Youth Fel lowship (grades six through eight' the Senior Methodist Youth Fellow ship igrades nine through 12), and ndults who are interested in work ing with youth. Both afternoon and evening meetings will be held. Housing and meals for members of the caravan will be provided by church members. From Denver Joe Pankey, ac companied by his mother and brother of Denver, motored to Yreka Sunday to meet Stewart Pankey, Oakland, who will visit in the Pankey home at Callahan. Mr. and Mrs. Patterson, Oakland, also are visiting the Pankeys. Odd Fellows Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam M. Smith, Etna, attended the barbecue at the Pythian Cave Cer emonial Grounds and Smith stayed From California Accompa nied by her son Michael, Mrs. Marjone Prowell, Santa Barbara former resident of Fort Klamath and Chiloquin, visited last weekend with friends in both places. McDaniel family in Fort Klamath were her sister and husband, the Rev. and Mrs. G. A. Rice, Thayer, Missouri. After visiting in Fort Klamath, they went to Corvallis to see the Rev. Rice s brother and family. From Los Anjeles Visiting for a week in Fort Klamath were Mr and Mrs. Steve Collins of Los An geles. Collins is Mrs. Warren (Lefty) Wilder s nephew. Mrfloud Don Slampfli. Troop 64 scoutmaster, accompanied sev en local scouts to Camp McLough lin this week. Troop 42 scouts John Willock, Bobby Bode and Jimmy Cattuzzo and Troop 64 scouts Rog er and Tommy Lung, Robert Ston er and Tony Spagnola are spend ing a week at scout camp at Lake of the Woods. Returned Lefty Wilder and two sons Tony and Leonard returned to Fort Klamath last Monday from Pendleton where they attended the nine-day National Indian En campment. To San Diego Mrs. Ben Hunne muller and daughter, Leona, Fort Klamath, left by bus Tuesday aft ernoon for a two weeks' slay in San Diego. There they will visit Mrs. Hunnemuller's aged grand father, who is reported to be ill. Church Camp Air. and Mrs. Byard Kelly, .Dorris, are on a 10 day vacation at Southern Baptist Convention's summer camp at Crescent Lake.
