His first reaction, Dale said, was that Coleman was unwise in de ciding a jurist a special grand jury. The jude said waiting until the regular session could give the accused a chance to learn who they are and allow them to leave the stale. Dale made the comments in call- ins for an end to piecemeal leaks" from government sources on the Parker lynching. "If the iEovernment has turned over all its evidence to Gov. Ernest Smith, 16. surrendered to police Saturday night shortly after Tommy Donnell, 17. died of a stab wound near the heart. Police said Ihe two got into an argument and began fighting when Smith and a Negro companion met Donnell and two other white youths 'in front of a drive-in res taurant. The two fought wilh their fists for about five minutes police said. until 'Donnell fell and Smith and his conpanion fled. .No reason was given for the fight.
