(19) February 3 A truck-car collision about six miles south of Klamath Falls on U.S. 97 claimed the lives of two Klamath Falls men, William A. Badorek Jr., 29, and Leonard Allen, 17. (20) October 1 Copco's Big Bend power plant in the Klamath River Canyon was dedicated. It develops 80,000 kilowatts, was completed two years ahead of time, em ployed up to 700 men and cost about $12,400,000. (21 ) February 8 Flames from an undetermined causa near midnight caused the death of Dr. and Mrs. Ray Old denburg at their home, 1228 Pacific Terrace. The body of Mrs. Oldenburg was discovered in a second story bedroom. Dr. Oldenburg had gone to a first floor bathroom and ap parently collapsed before help reached him. (22) February 11 Sale of Klamath Indian allotment lands was completed in 1958, and bids also opened on sale of reservation lands later in year. Here, C. V. Nel son, Klamath Agency realty agent, supervised bid open ings on sale of allotted lands. (23) November 9 Both primary and secondary sewage treatment plants for full conventional treatment plant neared completion in city of Klamath Falls. City also in stalled four new trunk interceptors.
