PRESS HONORED ALTURAS The Seventh-day Ad- ventist Church honored the press at a mid-morning session Novem ber 22, when the press secretary, Edward Sanders, displayed a bul letin board with some of the clip pings of the church work done in the Modoc County area and ex pressed appreciation to Robert L. Sloss, editor of the Modoc County Record, and to Mrs. Ora H. Dem ick, reporter for the Herald and News and columnist for the Modoc County Record. Sanders, in behalf of the church presented gifts to the members of the press. Chapel Choir Program Set The Chapel Choir of the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Semi nary of Berkeley will present two programs in the 1958 fall concert tour, Saturday and Sunday, No vember 29 and 30, at the First Baptist Church. 414 North Eighth. This musical group represents all three major areas of the semi nary program, music, education, Baptists To Convene Baptists of the Klamath Bap tist Association will gather Mon day night, December 1, 7:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Tulelake for their annual "M" Night program, according to Rev. W. B. Russel, training union di rector of the association. "M" Night, as the meeting Is known, is an annual affair among Baptist churches, as they meet and plan together for the mobili zation of the training unions of the local churches for the coming year. An attendance goal of 250 has been set. In the event that the roads are too icy lo travel to Tule lake, the meeting will be held at the Stewart Lenox Baptist Churcn. Throuehout the Southern Baptist Convention, it is expected that there will be a total attendance of 500,000 at the "M Night meet ings across the nation.
