Not 'How Much' Bui 'What' Teen-Ager Eats Is Important Most Growing Children Eat Too Many Foods That May Be De licious, But Not Nutritious How many times have you heard or ever expressed yourself the remark that "I do believe my teen-ager has a 'hollow leg' he eats more than any ten people put together ! It is a fact that teen-agers probably consume more food than any other age group; but nutri tional experts claim "teen agers are not getting enough to eat". The truth is that though the youngsters eat a large amount, they don't eat the right kinds of foods in sufficient quantity It has been found that girls more than boys suffer from food deficiencies probably due to dieting in order to gam a popular-sized figure. Once teen-agers learn that by eating properly they don't have to worry about the figure (as in the case of girls), and that they (the boys) will build muscles, etc. they are usually anxious to do what is best.
