LONDON (AP) David Shad low, who is 30 and married, went to court yesterday to protect him- iclf from the amorous attenions of 31-year-old spinster Joan Croft He told a court at Hull: She followed him from town to town on her motor scooter and tailed him in bars and hotels. She drove round and round his home until alter midnight. She turned up at his oflice. She hit him on the head with her crash helmet. Salesman Shadlow accused the tall, slim Miss Croft of assault and causing a breach of the peace. She is making a proper pest of herself with no encouragement from me, he complained. "My marriage is in danger and my wife is ill. Shadlow said he was introduced to Miss Croft when he was nearby Durham. He twice gave her a lift back to Hull in his auto. But both times there was another man in the car. Policewoman Dulcie Davis told the court Shadlow was not the first man on whom the spinster had lavished cr attentions. 'There was a similar occur rence in 1953 resulting in a high respected vicar having to leave his parish, Miss Davis said. She is mentally and sexually frustrated and has caused a great deal of unhappiness in two fami lies. The woman was found guilty on both charges and jailed for two weeks for a medical examination August 30 under the sponsorship of Klamath Dog Fanciers, Inc.
