LONDON (AP) David Shad
low, who is 30 and married, went
to court yesterday to protect him-
iclf from the amorous attenions
of 31-year-old spinster Joan Croft
He told a court at Hull:
She followed him from town to
town on her motor scooter and
tailed him in bars and hotels.
She drove round and round his
home until alter midnight.
She turned up at his oflice.
She hit him on the head with
her crash helmet.
Salesman Shadlow accused the
tall, slim Miss Croft of assault
and causing a breach of the
peace.
She is making a proper pest
of herself with no encouragement
from me, he complained. "My
marriage is in danger and my
wife is ill.
Shadlow said he was introduced
to Miss Croft when he was
nearby Durham. He twice gave
her a lift back to Hull in his auto.
But both times there was another
man in the car.
Policewoman Dulcie Davis told
the court Shadlow was not the
first man on whom the spinster
had lavished cr attentions.
'There was a similar occur
rence in 1953 resulting in a high
respected vicar having to leave
his parish, Miss Davis said.
She is mentally and sexually
frustrated and has caused a great
deal of unhappiness in two fami
lies.
The woman was found guilty on
both charges and jailed for two
weeks for a medical examination
August 30 under the sponsorship
of Klamath Dog Fanciers, Inc. As
n the past, it will be an American
Kennel Club licensed show.
The Klamath Falls show is part
of the Cal-Ore circuit, with the first
II breed show being held at Red
ding on August 29. Shows will fol
low the Klamath Falls show at
Mcdford on Sunday, August 31, and
Eugene on Labor Day,
Last year, the event here drew
i entry list of 407 dogs and
more are expected this year, ac
cording to Kathy McDonald, presi
dent of the Klamath Dog Fanciers.
Mrs. Helen D. Maring of Port
land will be superintendent of the
Klamath Falls show again this
year. There will be three judges,
I from California.
There will be the finest array of
trophies ever offered at a local
dog show. They are being pur
chased through Beach's Jewelers,
834 Main Street, and Bob Beach is
donating a single pen set trophy
for best of opposite sex in the
Boxer breed. The Dog Fanciers
are putting up a figurine trophy
representing individual breeds for
each breed. This type of trophy
is new this year for the annual
show.
Mrs. McDonald announces that
anyone wishing additional informa
tion on the show or assistance in
showing a local dog. even to han
dling the dog in the ring, may

SHE DREAMED SHE DANCED ALL NIGHT
WITH ROCK HUDSON ON A FUTURESQ FLOOR . . .
We know a lovely young secretary named Marie. Not
only is Marie somewhat of a beauty herself, she has
a discerning eye for things beautiful.
Take music, for example. Marie thinks it's beautiful
she often hears it all night long, even in her dreams.
Take Rock Hudson for another example Marie
would! She keeps a four-colored picture of him on the
wall and, according to Marie, it's beautiful!
Recently Marie came into the store and among all the
beautiful things we have in stock, she singled out
Armstrong Vinyl Corlon in the exejting "new-as-tomor-row"
Futuresq Series.
"Now, that's'really beautiful!" said Marie. You'll say
so, too and goodness knows what will happen to
Rock 'n music!
But that's not our concern. We just want you to see
something really beautiful: Armstrong Vinyl Corlon
in the Futuresq Series. It combines clear vinyl with
actual bits of glittering metallics in an entirely new
concept in floors. And you know what? We've got
all 8 styles!
