OREGON PAGE THREE I, ; : : if? 1 If 7 Aj-"T-r Row Ends -In Shooting KELLOGG, Idaho (API An ar gument over a stopped-up basement sink in a duplex apartment house Sunday night wound up in pislol shots that left one man seriously wounded, police reported. Leonard Kline, 42. was shot in the stomach and shoulder with a .22 in the front yard of the apartment house. He and his fam ily live on one side, the Otis Mc Cuin family on the other. Officer Oscar Marquardt said McCuin, 37, and Kline argued over the plugged sink, that it caused water to back up into the base ment sink on the other side of the duplex. His report didn't say whether it was the McCuin or the Kline sink that was plugged. Marquardt said McCuin stood in the door of his apartment house, called out to Kline in the yard and asked him to leave. The officer said Kline didn't and that McCuin got a gun and fired at him through the screen door. No charges were filed immedi ately against McCuin pending further investigation, Marquardt said. SPECIAL RECOGNITION for "faithful attendance through all kinds of inclement weath er" was given two Klamath Falls residents, Cmdr. Donald L. Golding, principal at River side School, and Lt. Cmdr. Donald A. Gray, project manager for the Bureau of Recla mation, at the graduation exercises of the Naval Reserve officers school which has been in session for the past 40 weeks on the Southern Oregon College campus. An extension course directed by Cmdr. Gilbert F. Walker of the Portland Naval Reserve Officers School 13-2, the course was administered at SOC by Cmdr. Loren E. Messenger, profes sor of psychology.
