(UPD Home gardeners might consider install ing sprinkler systems next spring to prevent frost damage in straw berry beds. Strawberry blossoms can be pro tected against late spring frosts with sprinkler irrigation according to University of Wisconsin horti culturist George Klingbeil. He said the temperature of strawberries will remain at a safe 32 degrees as long as water is freezing on them. He said a perforated garden hose can be used in the straw berry patch and can save blossoms from damage even when tempera tures reach the low 20's. Hogsett of the Uni- versity of Illinois college of agri culture says an electric mower will do the best job if you cut that grass in straight lines across your lawn. He also suggested working away from the cut-over area to avoid risking electric shocks from any frayed wires. If (he grass Is wet, it isn't a good idea to work with an electric mower. Hogsett warned. And to keep the cord from kinking or tangling, coil it loosely in a bucket or basket. Ohio Turnpike Caters To Canine Travelers CLEVELAND, Ohio (UPI) A small section of the Ohio Turn pike has gone to the dogs. The Ohio Turnpike Commission has set up dog exercise areas at each of the 16 plazas. The runs are about 150 feet long, 15 feet wide, covered with four inches of fine gravel and enclosed with tour foot-high snow fences. Assistant maintenance engineer Wesley Hot tenstein said: "Dogs sometimes get messy, and we thought that giving them an enclosure of their own would make things better for everyone, includ ing the dogs."
