BESIDE THE LOVELY POOL at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rajnus, Malin, are tome of the girls who assisted during this yai-' annual Malin Garden Club Iris Brunch. From the left, Karen Rajnus, Suianne Kujac, Diana Price, little Patricia Evans and her mother, Mrs. Gene Evans. Mrs. Evans is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rajnus. Mn. Rajnus and Mrs. Loyal Loveness were hostesses for the recent brunch, which is al ways a special event of the club. About 100 guests were received during the 10 to noon hours, and coffee and sweet rolls were served in the garden by the "keyhole" pool near the colorful iris beds. The two-story white colonial home with big pillars across the front is set in a beautifully landscaped expanse of lawn with evergreens, flowering shrubs and flowers. The patio was background for the tables which held the displays of specimen iris. Guests were from Tulolake, Merrill, Malin and Klamath Falls. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart H. Snell, ot this city, and Don s parents, .Mr. ana Mrs. Floyd A. Boyd, fresno. arc lormer residents o Klamath Falls and Tulelake. Sorority sisters from ljlamath Falls were Penny Haught, Janie Larkin and Frances Cox. Others Irom here were Susan Peak, also a student ot u ot u, ana ner mother, Mrs. F. W. Peak, Mrs. G. D. Raught. Mrs. Charles Larkin. Mrs. Al Schmeck and Mrs. Snell. Mrs. Boyd was unable to attend because of illness in the family. Don and Sherrill were childhood friends in grade school and were "dates" through high school and college. Both were graduated from KUHS in 1955. That same year Don was president of the student bodv. At Oregon, he is a business administration major; and Sher rill was graduated In June in elementary education. She will leach in Klamath Falls next school year. No definite date has been set for the wedding. The color scheme for the soror ity announcement party was pink and white. A large bouquet lea lured those colors in sweet peas and stock; the double heart-shaped cake was pink and white and each guest was presented witn a nose gay of sweet peas bearing the betrothal news. Ann Egan To Wed Akron Man In Sacred Heart Church Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Egan of Weyerhaeuser Townsite recently announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their eld est daughter, Ann, to Edward P. Waltz, son of Mr. and Mrs. 0. C. Waltz ot Akron, Ohio. The. wedding will be solemnized on Saturday, August IB. at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church with Mon signor T. P. Casey officiating at the nuptial mass. Ann will arrive home on August 10 in time for last minute prepa rations. Her fiance and his parents will fly out later in the week. Her sole attendant will be her sister. Mary, who lives here. Best man will be her cousin, James Manning, of Hayward, California David Cohen, and William Man ning, also a cousin, will act as ushers. Ann graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and attended Arm strong's College in Berkeley. For Luncheon Honors Mrs. Giacomini On 86th Birthday MERRILL Mrs. Mamie Giaco mini Was guest of honor at an af ternoon luncheon at the home of Mrs. Lillian Thomas on Friday June 6. The-occasion marked the 86th anniversary of Mrs. Giaco- mini's birthday. Following .the luncheon, pinochle was played and prizes were awarded. A snowball bush, to be planted on the lawn of her home, was pre sented to Mrs. Giacomini by Edna Travers, Midland; Carvell Thorn as.
