SUNDAY, JUNE 22, 1953 HERALD AND NEWS, KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON PAGE 3 C Queens Outing Highlights Western Living I w i;j LAST SUNDAY'S Queens' Outing drew same 80 per sons to the Rafter MD, Chiloquin, for a day of old time Western living. First event was an hour and a half jaunt in which 32 rid ers participated through the hilly, tree-covered area in which the ranch is situated (see cover photo). Appe tites had a keen edge by the time the riders returned at 1 o'clock, which was just as well, considering t h e magnitude of the picnic lunch which wos served by the Jay-C ettes, who, with the Klamath Saddle Club, handled the arrangements for the outing, in collabo ration with Dr. and Mrs. Marshall Poole, co-owners with Bob Moisio of the Rafter MD. The afternoon events began with the can didates helping corral a herd of cattle. Jim Steven son then showed everyone hew a cutting horse oper ates, and each of the can didates took a turn at cut ting. The big day ended with the branding of a few calves, a round of soft drinks, ond a cool ride home.
