Klamath Falls, announce plans (or conducting the post's annual magazine subscrip tion campaign. Mel H. Malme. post commander, said commissions will be used to buy new portable sickroom equipment for the treat ment of patients in their own homes. This equipment is made avail able for temporary use without charge to all residents, doctors. and nurses in the towns and the surrounding rural areas. Only accredited bonded repre sentatives will call on residents to explain the plan in full detail Each representative will bear a . letter of authorization from Post No. 1383 signed by Mel H. Malme, Lloyd Frantz, Clarence Nett Thomas E. Peterson. G. Ray Tay lor, jerom jr. Nidever, and Keith S. Walrath. The plan will be considered as a community service project and not as a request for donations. Donations will not be accepted by representatives of the organization. Everyone cooperating will get full value received in subscriptions to well known magazines. CITY BRIEFS OSEA Meeting Regular meet ing of the Oregon State Em ployes Association, OTI Chapter 36, will be at the Student Union Lounge, Oretech, on Tuesday, June 17, at 7:30 p.m. Installation of of ficers for the coming year. Re freshments will be served. Women of the Moose Chap ter 467 will hold a regular meet ing with initiation-Tuesday, June 17, at 8 p.m. at the Moose Hall. Anyone who will have candidates please phone TU 2-1375. Installation of new officers of the Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club will be held Thursday, June 9. at 7:45 p m. in the Pelican Party Room. Carnation Club will meet Wednesday evening, June 18. at' 8 o clock at the home of Mrs. Vern Schortgen, 2070 Etna Street. Formal Installation for the American Legion Auxiliary new officers will be held at 8 p.m. in the Legion Hall, North Eighth Street, Tuesday, June 17. Play Program Opens Today The city's supervised play pro grams at various parks and schools get under way today, Parks and Recreation Director Bob Bonney announced. Bonney gave the following sched ules: , Kiwanis Park, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Fairview Park, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Pelican School, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Roosevelt School, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m and Stukel Park, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m Moore Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tennis in struction on a class basis began this morning at Moore. Other at tractions include play apparatus and wading pool. Basketball will be conducted at Pelican Court as follows: Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., boys 13, 14 and 15 years of age; 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., boys 12 and under. Tuesday and Thurs day 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. boys and men 16 and over. Track and field will be held at Modoc Field Tuesday and Thurs day from 10 a.m. to 12 noon for boys of all ages. Flag football will be played at Wright Field on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. for all over the ace of 14 years. Softball, baseball and swimming schedules have been previously announced. Lt. Bowdoin identified those hospitalized as John W. Crowe, Moscow, Idaho; wubert car- kter, 23, Sumter, S C.; Wray A. Jones, 21. Batcsville. Ark.; Wil liams A. Burden, 22. Hudson, N.H. and Jack L. Hoaglin, 22, Albion, Mich. All are members of a class of National Guardsmen undergo ing officer training at this Army artillery and missile center.
