CHOCOLATE-CINNAMON CHIFFON PIE 1 package chocolate chiffon pie filling mix 1 cup boiling hot milk (x) Vi cup sugar V teaspoon cinnamon 1 b a k e d 9 - inch pie shell, cooled fx Homogenized or skim milk recommended,) Place pie filling mix in a small deep mixing bowl (about l'i quart size)) Add boiling hot milk. Mix well. Beat vigorously with rotary heater or at highest speed of elec tric mixer, until filling stands in peaks, ahout three to six minutes. Add sugar and cinnamon; beat one minute. Pour into pic shell. Chill until set, ahout two hours. Serve plain or garnish with whipped eream and additional cinnamon. Gates has signed the final papers that will send to the junk heap the carrier Enterprise, battlescared veteran of World War II. , The Navy action Tuesday, which will put the "Big E" up for auc tion as scrap, followed the fail ure of private Individuals and Pa cific war veterans, headed by Fleet Adm. William F. Halsey, to raise enough money to preserve the Fighting Lady as a perma nent memorial. The Navy was Informed late last month that the Enterprise fund drive had been halted after collection of about $100,000, far short of the million dr.ilars re quired. The fund raisers told the Navy they wanled the $100,000 do nated to the Navy-Marine memo rial stadium which will be built at Annapolis, Md. The Enterprise was placed in the reserve fleet some years ago. But with the modernization of later and larger carriers and the building of much bigger ones, it was removed from the active list and several years ago the Navy suggested that money might be saved on her upkeep in the moth ball fleet by disposing of the ship for scrap.
