Private Nicholas re cently completed the utility and cargo single-rotor heli copter repair course at the transportation school, Fort Eustis, Virginia, and is pres ently stationed, at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Helen Vashaw To Wed On 8th Mr. and Mrs. Aldeiv Vashaw, of 1110 Kane Street, Klamath Falls, announce the forthcoming mar riage of their daughter Helen to Carl James Grossman Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Grossman of Ashland. The afternoon nuptial service will be held June 8 in Sacred Heart Church with Monsignor T. P. Casey officiating. The bride elect has been a sec retary at Southern Oregon College, Ashland. Stokes was honored with a no-host farewell luncheon Wednesday, May 21. in the Willard Hotel Ponderosa Room by some of the many friends she has made during the almost three years residence in Klamath Falls. PAISLEY FREMONT CHAPTER, OES Mildred Brattain and Frank Pitcher were elected at the regu lar meeting on May 8, to head Fremont Chapter, No. 169. OES, as worthy matron and patron. She was completely sur prised when she entered the Pon derosa Room and was greeted en thusiastically by 60 friends. Maureen Stokes was active in school, church, club and other community work 'and held offices in both Sojourners and Newcomers clubs.
