Scandal Case Deal Related HOLLYWOOD (UP)-An agree ment has been reached whereby Confidential and Whisper maga zines will revise their editorial policy in exchange for dismissal of criminal libel charges against individual defendants. The magazines, affiliated cor porations and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meade, West Coast information agents for the publications, were tried last fall but a jury dead locked after a lengthy trial and was dismissed. Under the agreement reached between the attorney general's of fice and defense attorney Arthur Crowley, charges against the Meades would, be dismissed and the magazines would stand trial on the basis of the transcript of their earlier trial. As part of the agreement, Con fidential Publisher Robert Harri son will publish advertisements in New York.
