CITY BRIEFS In Germany Duaiie E. Reeder, U.S. Army, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin D. Reeder, 2834 Patterson Street, recently participated with units of the Seventh Army in "Op eration Counterpunch," a com mand post exercise in Germany. Reeder, a personnel administrative specialist in the 95th Engineer Bat talion's Headquarters and Service Company, attended Oregon College of Education before entering the Army in January, 1956. Dinner University of Oregon Mothers will serve a home cooked dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, in the First Presbyterian Church. Tick ets will be $1.50 per person. Two speakers have been invited, Ray Hawk, dean of men of the U of O, and Mrs. L. E. Viniker, state pres ident of Oregon Mothers. Alumni are especially invited. Halloween Party Set At School DORRIS A Halloween carnival will be held at the Butte Valley High School gymnasium on Thurs day night starting at 7:30. accord ing to announcement by Harry Beck, high school principal. Booths are being prepared by the various school organizations and a carnival queen will be chosen. Beck issued a cordial invitation to all residents of the area to attend and bring their children.
