In Germany Duaiie E. Reeder,
U.S. Army, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Orin D. Reeder, 2834 Patterson
Street, recently participated with
units of the Seventh Army in "Op
eration Counterpunch," a com
mand post exercise in Germany.
Reeder, a personnel administrative
specialist in the 95th Engineer Bat
talion's Headquarters and Service
Company, attended Oregon College
of Education before entering the
Army in January, 1956.
Dinner University of Oregon
Mothers will serve a home cooked
dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. on
Thursday, November 7, in the
First Presbyterian Church. Tick
ets will be $1.50 per person. Two
speakers have been invited, Ray
Hawk, dean of men of the U of O,
and Mrs. L. E. Viniker, state pres
ident of Oregon Mothers. Alumni
are especially invited. Money
raised is to be used for scholarships.

High School gymnasium on Thurs
day night starting at 7:30. accord

Beck, high school principal.
Booths are being prepared by
the various school organizations
and a carnival queen will be
chosen.
Beck issued a cordial invitation
to all residents of the area to
attend and bring their children.

tainment for all ages.

ermen said Florida should begin
warming up today from an early
season cold wave that sent tem
peratures plunging to record Octo
ber lows throughout the Sunshine
State. The cold snap struck early

zens to sit with the Klamath county court to draw up
the county budget for 1 935 was the chief business un
dertaken ot the county court meeting Tuesday. E. W.
Vonnice, Richard H. Hovey and Horace Dunlap were
named on the citizen's committee, which will meet with
county officio's Monday.

Soturdoy, November 3, 1934 The Klamath-Lakeview and
Klumoth-Medford air service was formally opened Mondoy.
With Pilot William B. Randall at the controls, the Ryan
passenger ship carried a special party to Lakeview in the
morning and to Medford Monday afternoon. E. B. Hall,
reorienting Mayor J. E. Mohaney, Frank Jenkins, Earl
Reynolds and T. R. Gillenwoters made the first trip.
