Members of the Womens Society of Christian Serv ice were hostesses. Music was the theme of the party. Guests were given concert programs which outlined the games and skits which followed. TIGHT SCHEDULE CUTS McKAY, VISIT LAKEVIEW Time changes were necessary In the recent Lake- view coffee nours nonoring Mrs Douelas McKay because of the McKavs' crowded schedule. A! though coffee hours . had been stepped up half an hour, the guest of honor expressed her apprecia tion for, and amazement at the presence of so many young moth ers who had to get baby sitters af ter receiving late-hour telephoned notice of the earlier-than-planned appearance of Mrs. McKay. The first coffee hour was short ly after Mrs. McKay's arrival in the morning, when Mrs. Rodney Harlan and Mrs. Ray Harlan were co-hostesses to about 25 guests at the Ray Harlan home. After the noon luncheon at the Hotel Lakeview, where Mrs. Mc Kay shared honors with her hus band, she made her second coffee appearance of the day when she met with more Lakeview women al the home of Mrs. Louis Lin villc. Mrs. Forrest E. Cooper as sisted Mrs. Linville with telephon ing announcements of the time change, and with serving. The McKays left Lakeview too early for Mrs. McKay to attend a 3 p.m. coffee at the home of Mrs. Robert Adams Jr. But before leaving Lakeview, Mrs. McKay visited briefly with the late after noon hostess to express her ap preciation for the arrangements made in her honor, and to offer regrets for not being in Lakeview long enough to attend. She also left a special message of greeting to the guests who missed seeing her as planned. After the ceremonies, the regu lar meeting was called to order, during which Ernie Read, Bessie Lilly and Audrey Herrick were ap pointed to make arrangements for this year's annual Christmas party always an important date on the club calendar. A dinner party at the club house was the social event for Septem ber, with Dottie Poole, Dorothy Kirkpatrick and Donna Abncr serving as hostesses. Members and guests enjoyed an excellent dinner and special entertainment.
