TIGHT SCHEDULE
CUTS McKAY, VISIT
LAKEVIEW Time changes
were necessary In the recent Lake-
view coffee nours nonoring Mrs
Douelas McKay because of the
McKavs' crowded schedule. A!
though coffee hours . had been
stepped up half an hour, the guest
of honor expressed her apprecia
tion for, and amazement at the
presence of so many young moth
ers who had to get baby sitters af
ter receiving late-hour telephoned
notice of the earlier-than-planned
appearance of Mrs. McKay.
The first coffee hour was short
ly after Mrs. McKay's arrival in
the morning, when Mrs. Rodney
Harlan and Mrs. Ray Harlan were
co-hostesses to about 25 guests at
the Ray Harlan home.
After the noon luncheon at the
Hotel Lakeview, where Mrs. Mc
Kay shared honors with her hus
band, she made her second coffee
appearance of the day when she
met with more Lakeview women
al the home of Mrs. Louis Lin
villc. Mrs. Forrest E. Cooper as
sisted Mrs. Linville with telephon
ing announcements of the time
change, and with serving.
The McKays left Lakeview too
early for Mrs. McKay to attend a
3 p.m. coffee at the home of Mrs.
Robert Adams Jr. But before
leaving Lakeview, Mrs. McKay
visited briefly with the late after
noon hostess to express her ap
preciation for the arrangements
made in her honor, and to offer
regrets for not being in Lakeview
long enough to attend. She also
left a special message of greeting
to the guests who missed seeing
her as planned.
Mrs. Eva Arthur, Lakeview,
mndo advance arrangements for
entertainment of the former cabi
net wife.
