Group To Incorporate DUNSMUIR The Mt. Shasta Chalrlift Development Committee met at a dinner meeting Saturday night at the Hotel Dunsmulr and made the decision to Incorporate. The Incorporation papers will be filed under the name of Mt. Shasta Ski Bf wl Incorporated. Directors of the corporation will be O. G. Steele, Randolph Collier, and Jack Meamber, Yreka; Bob Eller of Gazelle; V. J. Andreatta, Elmer Kennedy, Lynn Thompson, Mount Shasta; Floyd Barnum, Chet Marshall. Weed; Chap Went worth, Dunsmulr; and Stewart Mc Kenzie of Red Bluff. Incorporation will be filed for (26,000 with shares at no par value. A chairman of the board will be named when the Incorporation pa pers are filed and returned. George senraoer, executive sec retary, presided over the meeting and 35 persons attended the din ner. Joseph Corrlea, Yreka attor ney, was appointed to act as legal adviser to the group and prepare the Incorporation papers. The ob jective of the Incorporation of the group was to assure the group of being able to act as a body to ward development action when the U.S. Forest Service prospectus for development of the area is Is sued this spring. United Adds New Planes Five new DC-8As to be placed in all-cargo service by United Air Lines this spring and summer will trim hours off present Cargo liner schedules and Increase the company's all-cargo lift by 70 per cent. Under schedules effective April 30, the five-mile-a-mlnute cargo carriers will fly coast-to-coast in less than half a day. Including an en route stop. Westbound trans continental trips will be flown six hours faster than current DC-4 Cargollner flights: eastbound. five and one-third hours faster. According to R. L. Freight Troin Jumps Tracks TRUCKEE (UP Six cars of a Southern Pacific freight train derailed early today near Florls ton, about 20 miles east of here near the Nevada border, tying up the line for nearly eight hours. No injuries were reported. The chief dispatcher in Sacra mento said cause of the derailment, was not known. Anyone living near the Klamath Falls Municipal Airport may donate from 7-9 p.m. tonight when Na tional Guardsmen will sponsor the operation. Modoc Line Gets Diesels ALTURAS The Southern Pacific Company announced this week a changeover from steam power to diesel on the Modoc line. The change will reduce shop forces at Sparks, Nevada, and at Wendel end Alturas, according to William D. Lamprecht, general manager. Seven men in Alturas will be affected by the reduced need for maintenance workers. "We are doing all we can to re locate every man to Ogden or other points on the system," Lam precht said.
