L t ' - 4nniia Roof Examinations Important Household Task Examinlna a roof is one of the most Important annual Inspections of a house to make sure it is in shape for another winter and stormy weather. Such Inspections are best made in the fall. Working on the ex terior of a house is more difficult in cold weather and results might be less satisfactory. A home inspection should be made even if nothing apparently is wrong. This will insure detec tion of structural defects, enab ling repairs to be made before an emergency arises. If a relatively new roof has been damaged in a specific spot by a I falling tree branch, for example, or by ngninmg repair may oe comparatively simple and feasible. But if a roof is old and weather beaten, one slight leak can be tak en as a sign that the entire roof is about to fall.
