Longer Life Scientists have discovered the secret of a long life and dis covered that it s been around all the time and It's free. You just have to want to live. That can override everything but the final death sentence. Tranquility Is the best medicine, the December Catholic Digest re ports, in an article which gives eight rules for a longer life: "Quit worrying about your health. Have a physical check-up and if It reveals no serious or ganic difficulty, accept the verdict sensibly and gratefully. "Have iun. nay is pernaps ine j soundest and salest way we nave for working off aggression. Enjoy work but don't live solely for it. Everyone needs work to be con tent but it Is a mistake to make it the be-all and end-all of ex istence. "Conquer your work Jitters: don't make a federal case out of every problem. Quit fretting over minor crises. Most of them will be for gotten next week, anyway. "Keep life simple. Quit wanting so much. And if things are so all-ffcred bad that you cannot be content, stop moping and do some thing about them. Make the most out of right now. Enjoy each moment and explore it for rheer ful aspects. "Make family life, mutually en joyable. To establish such an at mosphere, there must be mutual affection, equality, and kindly cheerfulness. And - don't blow your top. No matter what you've heard about the value of blowing off steam, it Is destructive. It is j alinost sure to wreck something ' and in the v- .eckage may be a j potentially pleasant experience."
