Abbott clalmb he was driving to his mountain rabin in far Northern Califoinla at the time Stephanie disappeared. Stephanie's body was found near the cabin July 20. But several prosecution witness es testified last week they saw Abbott In Berkeley from an hour to a half-hour belore Stephanie last was seen. Other witnesses testified they 3aw a girl who looked like Stephanie struggling with n man driving a car similar to Abbott's on a nearby highway.
