Army, Air Force Feuding

Army and Air Force ara feuding
over the results of secret guided
missile tests In which the Army's
Nike dueled the Air Force's
Matador.
The tests were held to determine
the effectiveness of the 1.600 mile-an-hour
Nike against modern Jet
bombers. That much publicized
missile was pitted against an Air
Force Matador Jet bomber missile
with a speed of 600 miles an hour.
The Nike knocked down at least
one Matador two by Army
claims but missed on several

Train Jumps Track

more than 100 Injured following a
derailment which turned three
coaches of a Wales-to-London ex
cursion train Into a death trap.
A search crew of more than 500
pulled the wreckage apait through
out the night, finding the bodies
of nine women and one man. At i
least 30 of the injured remained
in critical condition. I
The train was carrying 290 ex
cursionists from cities in South I
Wales, bound for an outing in the I
British capital. The engine and
three coaches left the rails olid
toppled down a 20-lout embank
ment after passing a switch.
