The object of Uie continuing search was George Chenchar, 54. Julius' helper on the coal loader. Hope was waning that Chenchar would be found alive as the res cuers continued digging. into the 15 to 20 foot thick wall of dirt and coul that caved in on the men. Chenchar was believed to be near Nesblt. Julius owed his escape to his ma chine, under which the rescuers found him huddled after seven hours of frantic digging. Mine of ficials said there was a pood supply ol air in the loading area around Uie machine when the cave-In oc curred at 3 p.m. EST Thursday. At a Rock Springs hospital, where he was reported In good condition. Julius said Ncsbit was running right behind him as Uie roof caved In with "no warning at all." Julius said he squirmed under (he loading boom of his "joy load er" and "could hear the men talk ing" as they dug toward him. His first words when they reached him were: "Thanks a lot, fellows." Miners Gustavos Lopez and Claude Nichols narrowly escaped being trapped in the cave-in. Nichols agreed with Julius dial the cave-in occurred without warn ing. "There was no noise and nothing Roing on." he said. "Just then Just like a cyclone rocks started to fall. I was -covered to the waist." AFTERNOON 2:30 Church Heresy Trial Finds Lutheran Minister Guilty MILWAUKEE I The third heresy trial in the history of the northwest synod of the United Lu theran Church last night found the Rev. Victor K. Wrlgley guilty on five of six counts of doctrinal devi ation and recommended he be sus pended from his pulpit. The Rev. Mr. Wrlgley. pastor of Gethsemene Church In the nearby small community of Brooklield In Waukesha County, was not present when Uie trial board returned its findings. The 33-year-old minister did not attend any portion of the trial or previous investigational hearings on the advice of his church council which demanded certain procedur al concessions from the synod be fore it 'would permit him to be present. The recommendations of the seven-member trial board were presented to Dr. Paul E. Bishop, synod president from Minneapolis. He said he would "without a doubt follow" the recommendation. Pastor Wrlgley could not be reached lor comment on the ver dict. The Rev. Mr. Wrlgley accused the synod earlier of "changing the rules during the game" and served notice he could not be forced out as pastor of his church.
