LOW IN PRICE jp . Pop Corn A recent survey conducted among teen-agers reveals that pop corn is now one of the leading fav orites at their parties and "jive Jamborees." "Pop corn and soft drinks are the principle snacks served at more than 72 per cent of all teen age parties," the survey revealed. And mom and pop like the Idea, too, because pop corn serves so many for so little. One 10 ounce can of the most popular brand pops as much as twelve quarts of popped corn. That's less than two cents for a whole quart of pop corn and two cans generally serve a whole crowd. "Pop corn is fun at a party," many teen-agers reported in the interview, "because you can pop It right at the party and every body gets fun out of It." The informality of "guest-partlc-lpation" win's a lot to any party, and tills is perhaps the only food that could be served and prepared by the guests themselves. No special poppers are really needed. A heavy pan or skillet is all that is required. Place about three tablespoons of cooking oil In the botlom of the pan or popper ann ner.' until a Kernel of pop corn dropped In the hot oil pops. Pour in one-third cup of pop coin and reduce heat to medium. Put lid on pan. stake or stir un til all of the pop corn is popped. Kmpty into large pan or bowl. Salt to taste. It takes only a few minutes to pop several heaping bowls by us ing this method, if you are sure to buy pop corn that is fresh, and guaranteed to pop. Experi enced pop corn fans make it a rule to buy pop corn that comes sealed air-tight in metal cans be cause It is always popping fresh, I like Jolly Time, the nation's fav orite. For a different taste treat, the popped corn can be sprinkled with grated cheese, and mixed thor oughly in the bowl, right after popping. Many teen-agers enjoy a bowl of pop corn while doing home work, or while enjoying their record players. And ... not only teen agers ... but a few bowls of pop corn are fun for the whole family and make a pleasant eve ning at home anytime. TEA DRINKING Next to water, tea is the world's favorite drink. And, next to water, it Is the least expensive. Last year Americans bought more than 100 million pounds of tea, each pound yielding about 200 cups and this year's trends indicate a -further in crease in tea consumption. An industrious fact finder recent ly reported that every second of every hour in every day Americans drink almost 600 cups of tea. In most homes plain tea or with su gar and milk or cream are the favorites, with lemon next in preference. 97 SUPPER CLUB JdUMC I1IUI TALENT UNLIMITED DANCER SUPREME Now Appearing -THIS WEEK ONLY! 97 SUPPER CLUB Cheiea ItMki 1.10 Southern Fried Chicken 2.25 Special Dinner Show Niqktly 10:15 P.M 3 Shows Sat.
