The California cities are Los An- ?eles, Burbank. Oxnard-Vcntura, Santa Barbara. Santa Maria, Mon terey. Santa Fe. San Francisco. Oakland. Sacramento. Marysvllle Santa Rosa, Chlco. Redding. Eu- reka-Arcata and Crescent City. The CAB denied the airline Its request (or permanent certification to serve San Luis Obispo. Eanta Cruz-Watsonvllle. Uklah. Pt. Bragg, Red Bluff. Yreka and Stockton The board said there was suffi. dent traffic to and from these points to warrant only a tempor ary three-year .certificate. It auth orised one. The board rescinded the tern' porary suspension of United Air Lines authority to serve Monterey, Santa Barbara and Eureka. The board said the increase In traffic to and from these points Is enough to Justify united service as well as Southwest service. It also authorised Southwest to operate a shuttle service between Sacramento and San Francisco; to serve Paso Robles, through a com mon airport with San Luis Obispo for three years, and to operate for three years between San Francisco-Oakland and Los Angeles- Burbank via San Jose, Monterey. Bakersfleld and Palmdale-Lancast-er. It denied renewal of Southwest s authority to serve Oroville, Coal :nta, Vallelo - Napa, Dunsrhuir- Mount Shasta and Long Beach. It dismissed its investigation of '.he possible merger of Southwest and Bonanza Airlines of Las Vegas, on grounds that there was no Indi cation that the two airlines would agree on a merger. The board denied proposed ex tensions of Southwest or Bonanza routes between Reno and Sacra mento. Stockton, Oakland and San Francisco and between Las Vegas and Bakersfleld on grounds that they would be economically unteasibie.
