Vandenberg. The 26-ycar-old wUe of Leon Gale Pearson and Phyllis Hill, 19, ere accused of smuggling a cherry pie spiced with hacksaw blades into the oil last June. The cair was ar rested after County Jailer Fred Calfee found the blades in tne pie. Mis Hill was released from jail laat Saturday on a motion by Deputy District Attorney P. Ken aeth Pucltett on grounds that the Oregon statute -was not sufficiently eroad to cover her actions.
