Gerald Chatham ol Hernando, prosecutor, said last ni?ht he will wire the Invitation to Mrs. Mamie Bradley, mother ol Emmett Till, as soon as the trial date is set. Chatham said his teleerain will "express my personal reitret and the reret of the state concerning the unlortunate death of her son. "I will tell her that I think It Is important 10 the stale's case that she appear and certain evi dence she can give would be very imporinni. He added that Mrs. Bradley would be promised any "reason able protection" she might feel that she needs. In Chicago, Mrs. Bradley said: "If I receive any such invitation I will have to discuss it with inv leral advisers and act as thev see fit." Martin Jr., 24, Tulelakc soldier formerly charged with col laborating with the enemy, was at odds with the Army again today. Sixth Army headquarters an nounced yesterday that military police had arrested Martin Mon day for drunkenness and imper sonating an officer. The Army said Martin was wearing a first lieutenant's bars on his private's uniform. He was arrested Just three flays alter a icdcrai court ordered him released from the Sixth Army stockade on grounds the Army had no jurisdiction to try him for an offense committed during a previ ous enlistment.
