Since its inception in September, the club has tried to provide a place tor its members to develop and share their own talents. Pro jects tor Trl Tau have Included rick-rack jewelry, textile painting, Christmas candles, and an eve ning of sports at the YMCA. Instead of officers in the organ ization, each member will preside in rotation as she introduces a new skill or craft at one of the monthly meetings. No dues are charged, but each leader brings project supplies tor everyone. Klamath WSCS Meeting FORT KLAMATH The regu lar monthly meeting of Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Fort Klamath Community Metho dist Church Thursday afternoon, December 9, was at the home of Mrs. Bert Gray. The business ses sion was conducted by the vice president, Mrs. Donald P. Veatch, who opened the meeting by read ing "Let's Keep Christmas," from the Reader s Digest. Mrs. Lloyd Nicholson was named to supervise church decorations tor the annual community Christmas program and tree, scheduled for the evening of December 23 in the church. Church, school and CI Club are making arrangements for the pre-holiday affair. Mrs. Frank Strahan, local elementary grade bchool teacher, general chairman, will present her pupils on the pro gram. A vote of thanks was extended to Richard H. and Carl F. Wilson for their work on the bases of the new church pews and pulpit. After the business meeting, Mrs. Richard H. Wilson led the study hour, when she read Chapter three of the current book topic. "Under Three Flags." Hostess, Mrs. Bert Gray, served refreshments from a white linen covered table, with gay holiday motif carried out in the centerpiece featuring a miniature decorated Christmas tree with lighted red candles and appoint ments. Others attending were Mrs. W. J. (Barney) Cox, Mrs. Forrest Dol ing. Mrs. Frank Hansen, Agency Lake District: Mrs. Rollo Moore, Klamath Agency; and the follow ing Fort Klamath members: Mrs. William Brewer and Mrs. Edith Moon. Next meeting of the group will be on the afternoon of January 13; place to be announced later. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Porterfleld chose light gray blue taffeta, pink gloves and pinl: rearl hat. Mrs. Fot'.terineham's dress wr.s of mrdium blue all-over prin; an:! her hat and 'gloves were white. Their other accessories were black and both wore coin ages of red roses tied with silver and white ribbon. The marriage united two well- known families of the Merrill-Tu- '.elake-Dorris area who for many years have engaged In wide-range farming and cattle raising. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Guy Porterfleld, owner of the JF ranch east of Dorris, and the late Guy Porterfleld. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Joseph Fotheringham, Merrill, and the late Joseph Foth eringham Sr. The newly-wed Mrs. Fothering ham is a graduate of Butte Val ley High School, Dorris, and thej uauiorma college 01 Arts ano Crafts, Oakland. She is a member ot the Butte Valley High School teaching staff. Her husband, a Merrill rancher, attended Oregon State College, Corvallls, and has been promi nent in the Elks Club. After a hon eymoon in southern California, the couple will live in Merrill. For her going-atyay costume, Mrs. Fother ingham wore a charcoal gray suit, black velvet shoes, hat, gloves and bag. Her complemen tary Jewelry was of gold and pearls. Following Uie wedding, a recep tion was given in the church an nex, for which Mrs. Kelly played appropriate piano selections. Punch and coffee were served with the beautifully decorated tiered cake. Pouring were Lottie Williams of Portland and Mrs. El mer Scott. Serving cake were Mrs. Don Porterfield and Mrs. A. M. Scott, assisted by Mrs. Lester Porterfield. Darlene Winebarger, Mt. Hebron, had charge of the guest book. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends attending the wedding and reception were the bride s grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Kirby, Oregon City; Major and Mrs. Rus sell Cline, Detroit, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams. Guests were invited to the Bo nanza Library which was decor ated with pink angel-hair draped silver Christmas tree sparkling with blue ornaments on the gift table. A silvered tumbleweed, dec orated with blue Christmas balls. flanked with blue candles in can delabra, centered the 4 long re freshment table, which also fea tured an ornate cake at each end.
