Peters, officiant; and was witnessed by over 100 relatives and friends. The couple's honeymoon was spent at various points' of scenic interest !n Oregon. The Rev. Warren, pastor of the Pals ley Methodist Church, officiated.' The wedding of Edda Banister to Henry Hanan was a highlight In the Paisley social Hie at that time. Many who attended the wed ding are still living, and a few were able to be at the Golden Wed ding clebration: The table was draped with - a lace cloth, with gold candles flank ing a huge bouquet of gold carna tions and white stock. Place cards were printed In gold and were at tached to tiny gold loving cups. The huge cake was decorated with golden bells and red roses. Mr. and Mrs. Hanan are the par ents of nine children, Neah Lane, Mt. Mazama Toastmistress .' Club Meeting Mt. Mazama Toastmlstress Club will be host Sunday, July 35, to an area council meeting. Council No. 4, of which Klamath Falls is a member, also Includes Medford and Grants Pass. A business meeting at 13:30 in the Spruce Room will precede luncheon in the main dining room of the Wlllard Hotel. Featured speaker will be Mrs. Marguerite Johnson, Grants Pass, who will review a book on the life of the wife of Gen. Lane, the first governor of Oregon. The local group will present a skit and Medford Toastmistresses will give a convention report from the regional meeting at which rep resentatives from all over the Pa cific Northwest and Alaska were present. Installation of new council -offi cers will follow. To be installed are Mrs. Fannie Mae Thompson, Klam ath Falls, chairman; Mrs. Lola Roney, Grants Pass, vice chair man; Mrs. Ethel Mclntyre, secre tary-treasurer. 'Approximately 35 toastmistresses are expected to be present. Officers of the local club are Mrs. Reba Martz, president; Mrs. Carol Whetstone, vice president; Mrs. Is abella Jackson, secretary; Arlene Hollenbeak,. treasurer. Friendship WOM Meeting MERRILL The .Friendship committee of Merrill Women of the Moose Chapter II, met July 9. at the Moose Hall, with Julia Broz, chairman, presiding. Lil lian Geaney was appointed to serve as chairman during the en suing year, Veronica McNeill will be secretary-treasurer, and Dovie Reeder will be in charge of pub licity. The eveniiig was spent working on quilt which will be used In a money making project. Plans were made for a picnic in the near future, definite time and place announced later. Hunter, June 19. for two of her grandchildren, Starla and LeRoy Hunter, who celebrated their birthdays in June Starla, on the 33rd, when she was nine; and LeRoy, on the 15th, when he was three. Brown, who also settled here about 70 years ago. Three ministers participated In the ceremony the Rev. Kriner, bridegrooms father, officiant, as sisted by the bride's grandfather, the Rev. A.- O. Broyles, and the Rev. K. P. Fields, former pastor of the Klamath Falls Church, now ot Vale. If fact, it was noted that many in the wedding party were members of the two famillea. The bride's father and brother, Dick. sang, accompanied by Mrs. Boyd Sprague at tne organ. Jewell snan- non played a violin solo. Church decorations were pastel hued gladioli and chrysan themums banked With fern. In a white gown of lace satin and satin and tulle, Erna was es corted down the aisle by her fath er, who gave her in marriage. The dress featured a lace over satin bodice, with scallop detail on the net yoke, small round lace col lar, long lace sleeves with ruffle trim at the snug wrists.' Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Colleen Broyles. Her frock was of light blue net over taffeta; and she carried a heart-shaped bouquet of blue daisies tied with pink ribbons. Bridesmaids, Jew ell Ann Larson and Marie Loban wore pink dresses identical in style to the maid of honor's, and .car ried pink bouquets with blue rib bons. Junior bridesmaid, also sis ter of the bride, wore light blue and carried a blue and pink bou quet in the same heartshaped ar rangement. All wore sliDDers .to match their frocks. ' Richard Howard was ring bearer, and flower girls were twin sisters, Jean and Joan Fields. They wore yellow net over taf feta. Ronny Kriner served his brother as best man: and Park Kriner (also brother). Bill Moak and bride's brother, Richard Broyles, ushered. - Mrs. Broyles chose a rose lace over taffeta dress for her daugh ter's wedding, and her corsage was of white carnations and yellow rosebuds. The senior Mrs. Kriner wore a blue and white nylon ensemble and her corsage was of white carna tions. The more than 300 guests were received in Cassel Hall. Presiding at the punch bowl was bride's aunt. Mrs. Fred Lewis: Mrs. Mike Pozar, also aunt, cut the cake: another aunt, Mrs. Austin Lewis was at the gift table; and others assisting were Mrs. D.
