"They" were Mr. and Mrs. Nadeem (Ned I Hakeem, who are pictured top left, at the buffet table; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stowers, bottom left; and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson. He's the fisherman at the top of the page; and Mrs. Olson is at the table, lower right, seated next to Ned Hakeem (second from the right front). Left center picture, clockwise from the left, Mr. and Mrs. Orth Sisemore, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rice I he's this year's presi dent of the Roundup Association); Mrs. Hugh Swaney, Mrs. Moon, Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Centering the page, is the beautiful head of Golden Easter Dawn, Clarice and Keith Moon's prize winning Palomino responsible for many of the ribbons won by, their "blond beauties" (the stack is big enough to piece a quilt for a king-size bed). The guests were here from the 19th to the 24th and were given a taste of Klamath life and more than a taste of good food. . Nicholas Gabriel Nadeem Hakeem (Ned) and his wife Ethelvina just returned from an extended trip which included a stop in England where they bought a car driving through France Germany, Balkan States Greece, Turkey, Arabia, etc., taking a boat from Lebanon to Egypt and back by boat to Spain and home to New York they were gone six months. He is Arabian and his petite wife was born in South America but her parents come from old established families in Mexico. Thoy share the love of horses and will soon start their home in the San Fernando Valley to be built in true hacienda style with plenty of space provided for blooded horses. Real estate occupies his interest when home. ' The Stowers Larry and Marcia actually came here from a trip to Omaha and were getting a little homesick for their dogs land hosses) they were the official escorts in the Tournament of Roses for Lieut. Governor Powers of California last New Year's Day. He's (Larry Stowers) vice president of the International Palomino Association and they rode a matched pair of stallions in the parade. They own and operate the Richfiold Oil Station at Sep ulveda and Ventura. Harold Olson and his wife Isabel share the interests of the others and Mrs. Olson has a hobby of her own which ed to her being at the moment, prosident of the Woodland Hills Garden Clubt He is head of the camera and still depart ments at Allied Artists and has been in the field of photo graphy since 1926 (so we promptly turned the camera over to him to take the above pictures). They came here to vaca tion see the Oregon country fish and especially for him to fake colored and black and white pictures of the Moons' Palominos. The six are close -friends in the Valley and the trip was planned last February when Keith and Clarice Moon were down there. They return we hope to advertise the Klamath Country. (M. R.) LV Womens Club LANGELL VALLEY Mrs Paul Monroe entertained the LnnRcll Valley Women's Club nt her home the afternoon of June 17. The xhort business meeting was conducted by Cora Leavltt. Last term's officers were reelected for another year, with Cora Leavltt, president; Edna Hood, vice president; Nettle Davis, secretary; and Elfreda Lindsay treasurer. The club will not Rive a danco during the month of July.
